A VICTIM OF CHILD LABOUR NOW OWNS 100 DEGREES

Behind every successful man there is a women ,goes a popular proverb .So is it with Dr P J Sudhakar from Hyderabad who owns 100 degrees,10 books and 25 Awards to his credit .And he oweshis success to his illiterate mother.

               Dr Sudhakar ,News Director of Doordarshan in  Hyderabad ,comes from an agricultural background .He was victim of child labour .from being a waiter in a hotel to rearing cattle ,he has done it all.

                The man who has acquired all his degrees through distance education ,including SSLC says,"You need not go to a regular school or college .All you need is a strong will power and determination .Which helps on reach heights.

                From psychology to constitutional law ,there is no area untouched by Dr Sudhakar .Apart from this he is also professionally trained artist .Dr Sudhakar says that he derives his inspiration from intellectuals like Dr B R Ambebkar ;He is also trained psychiatrist who provides free career counselling to studnets .He heads the Bharat Manav Seva Samaj founded in 1984 which rehabilitates widows and economically weaker sections of the society.

             Also a part of the National Mental Health Movement ,he feels that mental health is important for the overall development of an individual .even at the age of 52 ,he aims to reform the society in every way he can .

Knowledge liberates;Dr Sudhakar is a living embodiment of this ancient adage . He has translated this dictum into his very life and has established by precept and practice the value of educaation in human society.One who is bestowed this liberating touch of knowledge lives it every moment and is impatient to communicate it to others .By such communication ,man is delivered from the thralldom of his mental limitations into the life of knowledge blessing him with the joy and glory of human life .Dr Sudhakar simple demeanour ,profound knowledge and deep concern for human welfare reflect the sublime qualities of a man of knowledge .His subtle humour and an infectious laughter possess people around him .He has shared this immense joy of knowledge with untiring zeal through a variety of ways-books,poetry,pieces of literature ,lectures and personal discussions.

                           Dr Sudhakar's humble beginings from an agricultural farm hand to a hotel waiter ;eventually a clerk and finally as a civil services officer is well documented .His obtaining of around 86 Degrees/Diplomas in an range of subjects ,Commerce ,Mass Communications,Sanskrit and Alternative medicine besides several Doctorates over a period of 36 years reveal his tenacity of purpose and strength of character .

                             Dr Sudhakar has cast upon himself the task of leading his flock along the path of literacy .As a Media Officer ,he has risen to many an occasion,often at great personal risk and won laurels for his organisation and admiration of his colleagues and the general public .This tenacity of purpose and commitment to social values from the basic features of his personality .His boyish enthusiasm and curiosity impel him towards many a soul to treat the path of literacy and experience the thrill of a life of knowledge .With his all round knowledge of Law ,Literature ,Mass Communications and Journalism he is a living legend in the field of Education .Besides ,he is a humanist at heart .His life is a beacon light for generations to come.

As a founder-president of National Mental Health Movement ,having a team of 100 psychologists providing counselling to thousands of AIDS patients to create a hope for life and to students to inculcate the moral values and ethical standards in society respecting parents ,teachers and elders participating in the social service and community development activities and nation -building.

            He has been delivering personality development lectures and motivating youth for acheving success in life ,pasting the academic examinations ,opting for the bright career prospects  and discharging the social responsibility as citizens of India.

         Dr P J Sudhakar who developed from a child labour to a civil servent ,acheived civil services i.e., Indian Information Service in 1987 and gained rich experience in Public Administration ,in print and electronic media like All India Radio ,Doordarshan ,Yozana Magazine and sharing his real life experiences with the thousands of youth and to create confidence in them for acheiving higher in their lives and motivated 25 lakh youth.
